If you would like one thing in a game...

...What would it be? Even more powerful, emotional cutscenes? More blood and guts? Faster gameplay? It really depends on the gamer. Say me, for instance, I love shooters, sports, fighters, and the occasional adventure, or puzzler. Hardly any RPGs, they're too slow for me. I would love some powerful cutscenes in my shooter. In Gears of War, they kinda made the game funny, which I appreciate, but in some cutscenes, you really see what the soilders are going through. That's the only game ever that's gotten to me emotionally.

If you were an RPG gamer, I mean, a HARDCORE RPG gamer, I would bet you that you would love longer, emotional cutscenes, because that's what more RPGs had. Or, would you like some faster gameplay? It's a question, and most gamemakers should read something like this, to see what the majority of the people would want in their next RPG, or shooter, or whatever game. You see, games need more INNOVATION. It's the same shit, over, and over, and over again. One exception. You have to tip your hats to Nintendo. Look at those hardworking people. They're INNOVATIVE! The Nintendo DS with the touch-screen awesomeness, and the Nintendo Wii with the amazingness. They're always trying to improve, unlike Microsoft, who's just focusing on shooters, and Sony, who's just trying to nickel in a dime every second. Nintendo's got the idea. Now, if Sony and Microsoft change their minds, and follow Nintendo's footsteps, where else to go? What else to do? I guess the only thing left is Virtual Reality games, which I'm not to big of a fan of. I don't want to be in the game, I want to play it.

My dad, who's a semi-casual gamer, said, that if these guys [Sony, Nintendo, Microsoft] keeps it up, they'll soon make games where you can actually FEEL the pain that the characters are going through. Is this our future? Feeling like you're shot in a shooter? Or broken your leg in football? Possibly.

Hold on for part two...
